"KWICKCAGE"- REINFORCING SUPPORTFOR RESIDENTIAL STRIP FOOTINGS

The "Kwickcage" is a newpatented product used to support andposition reinforcing material ina concrete strip footing. It has been designed to support 2 layers of reinforcing material in thestrip footing allowing for industry standard concrete cover.
The "Kwickcage" replaces the need to fabricate footing cages either by welding or the tying ofligatures to the reinforcing material. Thispractice is time consuming and expensive.
A reinforcing cage can easily be assembled using the "Kwickcage" by pushing the reinforcingmaterial into the moulded clips. The "Kwickcages" are spaced at a predetermined distance alongthe reinforcing material. A top and bottom layer is formed into a footing cage and then placed.~ into the trench. The moulded base of the "Kwickcage" eliminates the need to chair the cage in the footing.The specially designed clips have been made to support 8, 11 and 12 mm reinforcing material.Trench mesh can be used or the design allows for the use of individual reinforcing bars. The"Kwickcage" can be used in footing widths from 300mm up to 450mm and depths from 300mmup to 4OOmm."
